The Guardian

My guardian angel watches over me.
He does not do it out of duty
but because he cares for my well being.
He is always there when I need him
and he is never absent in times of glee.
Never failing to be my friend
I can always call upon him
and trust in his wisdom.
Yet do I really know who this angel is?
Only I can actually answer this
because none knows my heart
other than him.
Each night I pray and ask
that he will comfort those in need,
and keep my family safe and sound.
Yet is this guardian angel actually listening?
My answer to the ones who ask the question
can be nothing other than YES!
Because the guardian angel I speak of
is none other than the Father of us all.
He covers me with His feathers,
and under His wings shall I trust.
His words and wisdom shall be
my shield and my sword.
I will fear no thing under heaven.
